Words of a man mad enough to know it

I am now going to write about football

If that doesn’t interest you feel free to ignore this. If it does interest you then still ignore it because its probably nonsense anyway.

As you may or may not know I’m a Manchester United fan (do judge me accordingly) and as such I will be writing about them. I honestly believe that the team will win something this year, as I do every year, but what competition well I’m not really sure.

It will probably not be the Champions League, in which Barcelona and Real Madrid look almost peerless, so unless the draw is friendly it would be a very good performance to even make the final, much as it was last season.

It will also probably not be the FA cup as the club seems not to have taken this competition too seriously or gotten any luck over the past few years. However this is one that I would like to see the team win as it has been a while and the past two finals United took part in should have been won but weren’t.

The League Cup is a better prospect because the draw for the quarter finals has seen the other sides who are likely to win the competition be drawn against each other and United have been given what would appear to be a simple route to the Semi Finals at least. And its a competition that the club have a good recent history in.

The trophy I feel the club is most likely to win though, is the premier league as, despite a 5 point disadvantage to City at the time of writing, the club has much more experience of a title run in and the pressures that come with it, couple that with the annual post Christmas surge from the team and that should produce a very tight finish in the premier league.

Speaking of the post Christmas surge the main cause this season will be the return of creative heartbeat Tom Cleverley. Now be honest, who would have seen that coming this summer, a player with one seasons playing experience in the premier league, and that at a club the battled against relegation, being vital to the clubs chances to winning any competition. I would like to claim such excellent forethought. As I, like many, thought he would become the natural successor to Paul Scholes over the course of the next couple of seasons but I didn’t imagine quite how key he would become so quickly.

The only other player as vital to the clubs chances would be Nemanja Vidić who when missing from the starting line up is made to look like an even better player by the defensive frailty displayed. And when he does start no matter his partner at the back, be it the inexperienced promise of Jones or Smalling, the past it Ferdinand or the good but not quite good enough Evans he has an authority at the back that brings assurance that the team will defend well.

Words of a man mad enough to know it

Inane waffle being spouted from the mouth of a mad man, not meant to be taken seriously. Ever. Even when I want to be.

On a more serious note, my name is Jay, this place is a bucket for all sorts of crap that I pick up on my journey through life and around the internet.

And now a little bit about me:

I loves my music especially, but not limited to, metal, I have an immature and ever so rude sense of humour, I also enjoy a lot of sport, mainly football, both viewing and playing.

I can be found elsewhere on the internet in places such as here (which is never updated), or maybe here and I have a blog specifically about music here(which is never updated), if you wish to find me on twitter for some reason I am here (which is rarely updated). I may also be found somewhere near you, hunting you, stalking you, preparing to pounce, or I might just want to say hi.

Here is what i am currently listening to:
